Wagga's Woodfired Wagon
In Food & Beverages

Established in November 2014 by local chef, Jay Vidler. Wagga's Woodfired Wagon rolled into the streets of Wagga Wagga and surrounds bringing with it a strong focus on providing restaurant quality street food and utilising local ingredients.

With this in mind, what better place to launch this exciting concept onto the public then at The Eat Local Thursday Movement. Consequently, trading at markets, has allowed us to form strong relationships with local growers and producers of quality products. In turn that has built up our menu to what it is today where 80% of our ingredients are sourced locally.

In the beginning-

After completing his apprenticeship, Jay saw a gap in the market of private catering as the majority of food available was cooked off site and reheated resulting in a low quality, tasteless product. Similarly to the food offered at major public events along with majority being an unhealthy option, usually deep fried and heavily processed.

WE ARE DIFFERENT! We use fresh ingredients, cook majority of meats in our oven and use smaller, local producers meaning food is less processed and we can tell you exactly where the food came from and how it was produced!

Wagga's Woodfired Wagon is at the forefront of bringing restaurant quality 'street food' to the Riverina and NSW/ACT. We will always stay true to our belief of creating great food using quality local products and we look forward to the exciting challenges as we continue to grow into the future.

"It's not hard to create good food when you have quality, local ingredients to work with"
