Description:
Battlefield Bargo (http://www.battlefieldbargo.com)
Next lan will be held at the Bargo Sportsground hall on the 13th of March (Saturday).
The hall is fully decked out with wide tables – plenty of room for big widescreen monitors and huge mousepads – and the event is even catered for!
Entry to the lan is $15 per person. Prior to the LAN, Lunch and Dinner menus are e-mailed out. Lunch items cost around $2.50 to $3 (including bowls of chips fried on the venue, hot dogs and BLT's) and Dinner items cost about $7.50-$8.50 (past dinners have featured mixed grills, curries, burgers).
Lunch and dinner comes with a free drink. As for drinks, bottles of water and most canned drinks (Coke/Pepsi/Lemonade/Solo etc.) costs $1, with bottles of energy drink and larger 2L bottles available on the day. Nibbles are also available throughout the day, such as various chips, Shapes, Tim Tams and more.
The LAN is a fantastic, sociable day of gaming. There's all ages from young children to 50 year olds. We have a good laugh and a good game, and you're guaranteed to have fun if you show up.
As for the games, Call of Duty 4 is very popular along with GRID, V8 Supercars 3, the latest Command and Conquer series, Team Fortress 2, Titan Quest and Flatout 2. Gamers are always up for suggestions on the day though – Call of Duty 5 usually gets a roll out, as does Left for Dead, and the latest Operation Flashpoint got a good going at the last event.
