Bands get fresh chance to make cut

26 Nov, 2009 03:00 AM
FERNANDO Martinez from Harrington Park opened a recording studio in Campbelltown this month to give local bands an opportunity to record at broadcast quality.

Martinez used to work in marketing full-time but was always involved in music and was part of a rock and Latin band.

``I've always had a passion to help people in the music industry,'' he said.

``I think the biggest dream for Nano Music Productions is, because there's so much talent in Campbelltown, to really help the area grow in the music side of things and for us to be able to look back and say, `wow, we've really helped the community','' he said.

Martinez said he was keen to put the recording studio in Campbelltown because he wasn't aware of any studios of a similar size in the area and thought it would be a great opportunity for local artists.
