A man was slashed across the stomach during a confrontation with a group of men on motorcycles last night at Razorback.
Camden police say a Tahmoor man, 32, was heading south on Remembrance Drive about 7.30pm when he "became involved in a traffic dispute" with a motorcyclist.
He got out of his car to approach the man and was confronted by another three men, also riding motorbikes.
The man told police his assailants pulled out a knife, slashed him across the stomach, stole his wallet and cigarettes and fled.
He managed to drive home, where his wife contacted police and paramedics. He was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for surgery.
Camden duty officer Inspector Josh Trevillion said: "Detectives wish to hear from anyone who may have seen the attack or has any knowledge of this appalling crime.
"Any information provided will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence. This is really a case where if a person saw or heard something, then they need to say something."
Witnesses are urged to contact Camden Police on 4655 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
