PICTON was buzzing on Saturday with a steady flow of locals and tourists in town for the second annual Picton Music and Harvest Festival.
Picton Chamber of Commerce organised the event which included a line-up of Macarthur's brightest performers and more than 100 stalls selling local harvest, clothes, jewellery, toys, plants and refreshments.
Chamber vice-president Karl Klein said this year's festival was bigger and better than last year and its 107 stalls ranged from food and crafts to community group displays.
``Most of them are locals,'' he said. ``Next year we might include the steam train from Sydney with some musicians on it.''
C91.3FM radio presenter Captain Pat was the master of ceremonies for the day and introduced all the local performers.
They included Paul Greene, Luke Koteras, the Luke O'Neill Trio with Anthony Clarke and Christian Young, Tilly Street, Alex Stengl, Jemma Beech, Joe Hagarty, Picton Strings, Lauren Azar and Michael Griggs, Jeana Carmen, Aaron Culligan, Michelle Hoare and Jim Loveridge in Turn'Npoint, Neal Critchley in She's themorning and thenight, Lucas Hendriks and Gabriella Di Nallo in Smoke and Cinders and Roland Storm.
Entertainment co-ordinator Di Clarke said she was in awe of the amazing talent in Wollondilly and the surrounding area.
``We are the music,'' she said.
``I had more local talent approach me on the day asking how they could be involved next year.
``The atmosphere in Picton was sensational and alive. It was a great energy and team effort by the Picton Chamber of Commerce.''
