Police said emergency services were called to Fraser Street, Tahmoor, following reports of a neighbourhood dispute.

They said officers were told a group of boys were fighting with neighbours when something was thrown into the yard causing a jerry can to catch alight.

The jerry can was kicked away from a vehicle and its contents splashed onto a 17-year-old youth, police said.

The youth suffered serious burns to his legs and lower body, and was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment. He is currently reported to be in a stable condition.

A 20-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital suffering a suspected broken and dislocated arm, while a woman was treated at the scene for minor facial injuries.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives from Camden Local Area Command are conducting inquiries and have spoken with a number of witnesses.

A boy, 15, was arrested at the scene and taken to Narellan Police Station.

He was charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Campbelltown Children’s Court on March 5.
