Best of best for Menangle

THE NSW Harness Racing Club recently launched this year's Inter Dominion championship event at Harrington Grove Country Club.

The event was first run in 1936.

This year, it will take place at three venues for the first time.

Heats will take place at the Hunter Valley on February 27.

The $1 million final will take place at Tabcorp Park Menangle on March 7.

Meantime, NSW Harness Racing Club's Anzac Day race meeting has been transferred to run two days earlier on Friday, April 23.

Originally set down as a Sunday afternoon fixture at Tabcorp Menangle Park, the club seized the chance to conduct what is expected to be a nine-race meeting, a few days earlier in the evening due to the establishment of the track's new lighting.

The paceway will host four Group One feature races during the meeting.
