TWO bodybuilders from UFO Gym, Tahmoor, Sharon Horner and Joey Zinghini, have both recorded good results in the first two competitions they entered, the Australasian National Bodybuilding South Coast Physique Championships and the Sydney equivalent.
Under the guidance of their trainer Jamie Horner, Sharon placed second in the Short Figure class and Joey Zinghini won the Under-70 kilogram category and came second in the Junior class at the South Coast Physique championships.
At the Sydney Physique championships at Castle Hill last week, Sharon came fourth in the Masters Figure class and Zinghini placed second in both the Junior and Under-65kg classes.
Jamie was impressed that the two novice bodybuilders had won trophies at such an early stage in their bodybuilding exploits.
"From a trainer's point of view the results were awesome," he said.
"Joey has proven himself now that he's won a class.
"He had to drop 4.5kg in six days to enter the under-65kg class and had some intense dieting and cardiac work to do. And Sharon, as a mother of three, is stoked.
"It's an inspiration for others that it's never too late to transform your body."
