Liptember helps kiss away women's mental health problems

Kiss away the blues this month with a bright new lipstick as part of Liptember.

The Liptember campaign raises funds and awareness for women’s mental health during September, with all money donated to the Centre for Women’s Mental Health and Lifeline.

Chemist Warehouse, the campaign’s major sponsor, sells official Liptember lipsticks with proceeds donated to the campaign.

Women register online and seek sponsorship from family, friends and co-workers for committing to wear the Liptember Lipstick during the month.

Liptember focuses on women's mental health because the majority of mental health research programs use male subjects and the findings then applied to women.

Liptember funds help researchers to identify the differences between men and women when it comes to mental health and treat them accordingly.

Women’s mental health problems include postnatal and menopausal depression.

To help raise money buy a Liptember lipstick at Chemist Warehouse (proceeds from the purchase will be donated to the campaign) or register online, buy an official lippy and ask family, friends and colleagues to become sponsors.
