NSW Police Media have confirmed a 27-year-old man has drowned at Mermaid Pools this afternoon, December 30.
Police from the Camden Local Area Command are preparing a report for the Coroner following the death of a Pakistani man, aged 27.
About 12.30pm today, the man was swimming with friends in Mermaid Pools near Tahmoor when he dived into the water and signaled for assistance.
He was pulled unconscious from the water and emergency services were called to the incident.
The man died at the scene.
A police investigation into the incident is underway.

There has been no confirmation on the man’s age, but 7 News Sydney are reporting that a young man is in cardiac arrest.
Paramedics were winched down to the rocks before they could begin CPR.

It has been reported that paramedics are currently performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on a man.
