St Francis Catholic College, one of Sydney’s newest schools, has started this year in temporary accommodation at Oran Park, with classes from Kindergarten through to Year 7. The school will move to its permanent home at Edmondson Park later this year.
Principal Simon Abernethy said enquiries for enrolments for 2018 have been phenomenal and the College is expected to grow very quickly, eventually offering enrolments from Pre-School to Year 12.
Being a P-12 College, traditional periods of transition between primary and high school are avoided and children can continue to develop strong relationships with friends and staff.
Mr Abernethy said that he and his staff believe that every young student is capable of achieving great things.
“We care that every single student gives their personal best, every single day. The values that parents have in their family home are the values of our College.
“We aim to develop students who are respectful, courteous, compassionate, honest and reliable. We want them to be proud of their achievements, their family and their school.
“We are a welcoming and inclusive community that provides a liberating education built on Gospel values, deeply committed to peace and justice,” Mr Abernethy said.
