There’s something about hotel style and presentation that has us counting down the days until our next holiday on the calendar.
Typical hotel style combines simplicity and trend, sophistication and luxury all in one.
But instead of waiting, why not bring timeless hotel inspired trends into your home?
Here’s where to shop the look:
Beds
Elements of Byron Resort sells its custom-made beds to keep you dreaming of the NSW north coast beachside hideaway when you get home, while The Langham’s Blissful Beds come in extra long double, queen and king sizes. Don’t forget to include the hotel’s signature Teddy Bear.
Sheets, towels and pillows
Now you can dress your bed and bathroom to mimic the sophisticated style oozing from guest rooms at Melbourne’s Crown Resort. Like Crown itself, all its homewares are oversized – take home giant duck down pillows, frothy bathmats as big as rugs, luxuriant towels you’ll want to spend the day in and gold and blue piped sheets and doona covers.
Pillows, blankets and linen from Westin Hotels are also available for purchase online; the Langham in Sydney and Melbourne offer their duck down pillows and everything but the turn-down service is on sale at theMarriott shop, think mattress toppers, doonas and sheets.
Headboards, cushions and vases
Forget seashells and incense sticks as souvenirs from a holiday in Byron Bay, now you can take home the leather headboards and bespoke cushions found in the new villas at Elements of Byron, opening in October. Using fabrics that reflect the surrounding coast and rainforest, colour palettes include blues, white and gold. Label lovers will drool over Karl Lagerfeld book cubes, Kenzo Takada pillows and hand-painted porcelain vases and Christian Lacroix cushions used in uber-chic suites at Sofitel So Singapore, Bangkok and Mauritius.
