The idea of Attorney-General George Brandis finding himself cheered to the rafters by Greens and Labor senators would, if reality had not gone altogether adrift lately, be a subject worthy of frenzied argument between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, the giants of analysing weird dreams.
