An eight-year-old boy is in a stable condition following an off-road motorbike accident at Menangle on Tuesday morning.

The boy was airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for ongoing assessment and care.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Menangle at about 11.45am, landing on a residential property at noon.

The boy had fallen off his motorbike on a dirt track, when he stood up and was hit by a following motorbike.

He traveled back to the property before emergency services were called.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assessed the boy and treated him for hip and leg injuries.
