There was a rare moment of unity on the Insiders couch on Sunday morning.
ABC presenter Barrie Cassidy and his guests took a break from health policy, industrial relations and the dual citizenship crisis to give viewers what they really wanted: a pithy take on Peta Credlin's recent spray on Paul Murray Live.
Earlier in the week, Tony Abbott's former chief-of-staff made headlines for saying her fellow Sky News panellists were all "piss and wind" for speculating about her former boss's endgame.
"Journos, journos, journos and a Labor Party outsider," she said, referring to Nicholas Reece, a former secretary of the ALP in Victoria.
"No one in the Liberal Party is going to tell you what is really going on. They're more likely - the conservatives - to tell me. And I think you're all piss and wind."
Host Paul Murray then cut to an unexpected ad break, leaving him awkwardly sipping from his coffee mug during a few seconds of silence while Credlin tapped her fingers on the desk.
Shane Wright, economics editor for The West Australian newspaper, was the first Insiders panellist to poke fun at the on-air spat.
"Laura Tingle said it best," he said. "That was the chief-of-staff who didn't see a leadership challenge coming, so she knew exactly what's going on inside the Liberal Party."
The Saturday Paper's Karen Middleton said Credlin didn't seem happy about being "shut down".
"She looked like a storm cloud when they came back on," she said.
Conservative commentator Gerard Henderson also jumped on the bandwagon.
"If we got rid of piss and wind, we'd all be out of a job, wouldn't we?" he mused.
Those who are invested in Credlin and Murray's relationship shouldn't be too worried, though. The Sky News host tweeted last week that people should calm down.
"Relax people," he said. "We are all still friends."
