TRUE BLUE: Brett Wallensky sent us this picture of a dense cluster of bluebottles taken on October 27, at Barlings Beach.
It looks a bit like a scene from a movie – The Invasion of the Bluebottles. But it’s not.
It’s real. Well, it’s true blue in every way.
Bay Post reader Brett Wallensky got a shock when he visited Barlings Beach on the NSW south coast recently.
He shared this photograph after making a stinging discovery – a dense mat of bluebottles washed up onto the rocks.
The beachcomber said he had “never seen thousands of bluebottles in one spot before”.
