Hail and rain hit Macarthur with force on Monday morning.
Many residents woke up to the sound of rain, while hail fell in some areas across the region.
According to Weatherzone, there was consistent rainfall in the Wollondilly throughout Monday morning.
The rain carried over from Sunday night.
At about 8.30am Monday, Picton received a dumping of hail.
Further north, Narellan received a small amount of hail at 9.15am.
Weatherzone predicts that the worst of the storm had passed by about noon.
However, residents shouldn’t put away their umbrellas yet.
There is a 90 per cent chance of rainfall on Monday afternoon across Macarthur.
A low pressure system has caused the high rainfall and severe thunderstorms across parts of NSW.
Possible showers have been forecast for Wollondilly on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the weather set to clear up by Thursday.
