Fisher’s Ghost parade makes first twilight appearance | pictures

The annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost got a little change-up this year, with the launch of the first ever twilight parade.

The parade is traditionally held during daylight hours but Campbelltown Council this year decided to try out a later start.

The event was well-attended, with excited locals lining Queen Street to watch the horde of parade participants pass they by.

Entrants dressed up in their ghostly best and many community groups – including cultural associations, sporting teams, music groups, schools, emergency services and more – also donned creative costumes to take part in the revelry.

The event is the highlight of the festival, which celebrates the legend of Fred Fisher, Campbelltown’s most famous ghost.

The festival continues until November 11. For more information, visit: https://www.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/WhatsOn?dlv_LV%20Public%20Events=(keyword=fisher).
