Violent break and enter in Thirlmere

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a violent break and enter in Thirlmere last night.

After 11pm on Thursday, November 9, a 21-year-old was alone at a business on The Oaks Road when two men broke in.

Police allege the man was assaulted and the offenders stole cash and cigarettes before leaving the shop.

Officers from Camden Local area Command went to the crime scene.

Paramedics treated the man for lacerations to his head before he was taken to Campbelltown Hospital.

Investigators want to speak with a man shown in CCTV footage.

The man is Caucasian, wearing a black hooded jumper with a white symbol on the chest and white ‘bad boy’ symbol on the back. He was wearing black pants and a black beanie with a white symbol.

The second man is described as wearing dark clothing.

Police are urging any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
