A young girl has died in hospital just three days after her eighth birthday following a horror crash at Perth Motorplex.
Police confirmed Anita Board passed away as a result of her injuries at Princess Margaret Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Read more
Two men arrested after $6 million worth of cocaine, concealed in tiles, seized
Two men have been charged after more than 20 kilograms of cocaine was seized during a joint-agency investigation into international drug trafficking by NSW Police and the Australian Border Force.
A joint investigation into the importation and supply of cocaine was established by police detectives from the drug squad and investigators from the ABF in September, called Strike Force Brundson. Read more
Remarks by WestConnex chief Dennis Cliche 'undermined NSW Chief Scientist'
WestConnex boss Dennis Cliche has been forced to admit he falsely claimed that NSW Chief Scientist Mary O'Kane had praised the motorway's planned exhaust ventilation stacks after she warned him that the comments called into question her integrity and independence.
Mr Cliche has also apologised for other "inappropriate" remarks he made to an infrastructure conference last week where he said the reintroduction of tolls on the M4 was "exciting" and ridiculed concerns about the health impact of the exhaust ventilation stacks. Read more

Wool prices are rising faster than Sydney house prices and farmers are rushing to cash in.
Fred Whitby has watched booms and busts come and go - first as a little baby in his father's arms in the shearing shed 94 seasons ago - but he's never seen anything like this last week.
On Friday, wool reached an all-time high of 1681 cents per kilogram - up 58 cents in a week. Read more
Why Macy will soon be forced to ride her bicycle on the road
Macy Gordon-Heywood cycles to school every day, navigating the footpaths from her home to school. But when Macy turns 12 in just a few months' time, she will be forced off the footpaths and onto the busy peak hour roads with NSW law prohibiting anyone over the age of 12 from riding on the footpath.
Her father, Callum Gordon, a cyclist himself, knows the dangers of riding a bike on the road and says he wants to see the law changed. Read more
