The Campbelltown-Camden Ghosts have maintained their unbeaten streak, recording a draw with North Sydney at the weekend.
The first grade NSW Premier League side were chasing a total of 351 on day two of round five at Raby Cricket Ground on Saturday.
When stumps was called the Ghosts had notched up 343 with the loss of eight wickets after 90 overs – falling just shy of the North Sydney total.
Third bat Philip Wells came agonisingly close to recording a tonne, hitting 99 off 171 deliveries before being dismissed LBW by Niranjan Naguleswaran.
Openers Mitch Carruthers and Aaron Yabsley scored modest totals of 23 from 60 and 22 from 34 respectively.
Jarrad Burke was next best, picking up 78 not out off just 81 deliveries.
He was hitting balls all over the park, smashing eight fours and a six in his time on ground.
British youngster Ollie Pope was not far behind Burke, notching 64 from 111, including five fours.
Pope was also dismissed LBW by Toby Lester.
Jordan Browne and Nathan Baker, coming in at seven and eight, did little to bump up the Ghosts total, both leaving the park with ducks to their names.
Jaydyn Simmons added 22 from 40 in the middle order while Luke Webb (20 from 42) and Samuel Skelly (three from 10) both helped the run tally along.
Naguleswaran was the best of North Sydney’s bowling attack, taking 3/84 from 28 overs, including two maidens.
The Ghosts will face Western Suburbs at Raby in round six on Saturday.
