Want to catch some waves and soak up the sun this summer?

Wollondilly Council can make the journey a little easier.

The Wollondilly Summer Beach Bus will run again in January, providing a free hop-on, hop-off bus service to North Wollongong Beach each Friday, except Australia Day, when it will run on a Thursday.

Financially supported by Tahmoor Underground – Glencore, the bus will collect residents from nine locations from Warragamba, Tahmoor, Wilton and Wollongong.

Council general Manager Luke Johnson said it was a great thing to be able to offer residents.

“This is a great local partnership between Picton Buslines, Glencore and Council, providing residents with free access to the beach so they can make the most of some of those hot summer days,” he said.

The bus does not feature adult supervision for children.
