Picton singer-songwriter Missy Lancaster has kicked off 2018 with a bang.
The country musician has found herself atop the ARIA Australian Country Artist Chart with her latest album, the newly-released Piece of Me.
Not only has she topped the artist chart, Lancaster’s record is also second, behind only a compilation album, on the ARIA Country Albums Chart.
This success has come in the album’s first week of release.
Piece of Me was the highest-selling country album (non-compilation) during the first week of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and has charted at number 26 on the ARIA Album Chart for all genres.
Lancaster’s album was the second-highest selling Australian release – across all genres – last week and spend most of the week at number one on the iTunes country chart.
Her most recent single, Heatwave, has just been released.
Lancaster will perform at CMC Rocks Queensland in March and is nominated for both the CMC New Artist of the Year and CMC Australia Video of the Year awards at the upcoming CMC Music Awards.
