Are you ready to take in some stunning sights and improve your fitness?

Then it’s time to register for the annual Campbelltown City Challenge Walk.

The walk, created to promote fit and active lifestyles, is held every year at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan.

Raby resident Peter Allen has participated in each of the previous 26 events and will take part again on Sunday, March 11.

“The Australian Botanic Garden is a beautiful setting for a walk like this,” he said.

“And it’s also very challenging, it’s an undulating course.

“It’s very well organised and it’s cheap to enter.”

Mr Allen encouraged anyone contemplating joining the walk to give it a go.

The event features a six-kilometre and an 11-kilometre track to cater for all ability levels.

Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic said the Botanic Garden was a big drawcard for participants.

“We’re lucky to have the spectacular Botanic Garden right on our doorstep,” he said.

“For some families or groups of friends it’s a tradition to get together for the annual walk and for those who haven’t taken part, I encourage you to come along, enjoy the camaraderie and the safe, popular form of exercise.”

Online registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, March 7 and costs $11.

Entrants can register in person at Campbelltown Civic Centre or Eagle Vale Central until Friday, March 2.
