Your chance to see Disney on Ice

Is there anything more magical than Disney on Ice?

Turns out there is – the latest icy Disney celebration takes in a whole century of the Mouse House’s classic characters.

Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic is coming to Homebush’s Qudos Bank Arena this July.

The show will feature characters the whole family knows and loves, from the early Disney princesses to the latest fierce and fabulous animated heroes.

Disney on Ice ambassador – and The Block presenter – Shelley Craft told the Advertiser the new show offered something for the whole family.

“It’s the best of 100 years,” she said.

“That gives parents and grandparents a chance to relive the characters they loved when they were young.

“There’s plenty of songs kids and adults have grown up with.

“And it’s not just for the girls – a lot of people think of the Disney princesses, but there’s also characters from Toy Story and The Lion King and Aladdin.

“There’s definitely something for everyone.”

Craft said her personal favourite Disney character was Timon, from The Lion King, while her daughters loved Anna and Elsa from Frozen.

She praised the beautiful costuming and fantastic music of the show, and encouraged attendees to get to the venue early for a special treat.

“There’s a pre-show with the Zootopia characters, Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde,” she said.

“If they can, everyone should try and come along early to catch the fun show.”

Craft said Disney on Ice was unique in its form and a particular delight for Aussie kids.

“Australian children don’t typically get to see ice rinks, so the whole spectacle is really something that will stick with them,” she said.

“Going to Disney on Ice is a great way to create memories with your kids, and it’s definitely something you’ll look back on fondly when the kids are older.

“You won’t regret spending the day at Disney on Ice.”

The show features dozens of iconic Disney characters and more than 30 hit songs.
