A brazen incident of illegal dumping at the NSW Sport Aircraft Club at Wedderburn has been captured on video.
Security footage shows a car travel to the end of Lysaght Road and stop on Christmas Eve at 2pm.
A passenger gets out of the car, opens and boot and he throws cardboard and other materials over a small wire fence and into bushland.
After emptying the boot, the passenger gets back in the car and it drives away.
Club member Pablo Depetris is calling on the community to help identify the car or passenger involved.
“I can’t understand why someone would go to that much trouble to drive out of their way up Lysaght Road to dump some cardboard,” he said.
“They could have just put it in the recycling bin.
“The dumped rubbish makes our club grounds look bad.
“Dumping has happened many time before. We now have cameras and bigger signs to encourage people not to dump their rubbish.”
Mr Depetris is encouraging locals to do the right thing and dispose of their rubbish correctly.
The club has asked Campbelltown Council to collect the rubbish.
