Draw with Eastern Suburbs sees Ghosts slip to fourth

A draw with Easter Suburbs has caused the Campbelltown-Camden Ghosts to slip to fourth place on the NSW Premier Cricket first grade ladder.

The Ghosts, who spent weeks atop the ladder before slipping to third last week, could not bowl out Eastern Suburbs after setting them a decision 372-run chase at the weekend.

Eastern Suburbs were boosted by the inclusion of Big Bash League players Peter Nevill and Nic Maddinson, with the former knocking 62 from 109 balls at the top of the order.

Ollie Pope was a stand-out for the Ghosts, scoring 113 off 132, including 12 fours and a six. Jaydyn Simmons was next best on 78.

Jarryd Lysaught was best with the ball, taking 3/46 with six maidens from 17 overs.

The Ghosts face Bankstown at home on Saturday.
