Winterland Campbelltown brings cool winter fun to town

Winterland has finally come to Campbelltown.

More than 7000 people ventured out on opening weekend to strap on a pair of skates and hit the ice.

The Winterland event proved popular amongst locals and visitors alike.

Event organiser Leigh Achis said crowds were steady throughout the weekend.

“We had a good flow of people from open to close each day,” he said.

“Lots of people loved the ice of course, and the arctic food village was popular as well.”

The event features rides, an ice rink, an ice slide and plenty of winter-themed activities for families to enjoy.

Locals who plan on attending Winterland on a Tuesday can take advantage of ‘Mates Rates’. Between 10am and 5pm each Tuesday attendees who purchase one ticket will get a friend in for free.

Mr Achis said the positive reviews were flooding in.

“We have had people say this is the best winter event around,” he said.

“The kids seem to be enjoying it a lot.”

The frosty attraction will run daily until July 22.
