Wollondilly seniors events are usually a hit with local residents and next year’s offerings are set to be bigger and better than ever.
Community Links Wollondilly and Wingecarribee Shire Council have received state government funding for local events and activities.
Wollondilly MP Jai Rowell said Community Links Wollondilly would receive $1000 to host a Picnic in the Park for seniors and Wingecarribee Shire Council has received $5500 to host events and activities over the 12 day festival.
“NSW Seniors Festival brings people together, encourages seniors to try something new and fosters a great community spirit,” Mr Rowell said.
“The government is supporting seniors in Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands to live life to the fullest through a number of initiatives including the Seniors Festival.
“I encourage seniors to join the fun and get involved in events taking place during the Festival.
“The Festival will give seniors the opportunity to participate in exciting activities with friends and family, meet others, and share their insights and experiences.”
NSW Seniors Festival 2019 will be held from Wednesday, February 13 to Sunday, February 24.
