Camden driver Daniel Moon has made a strong start to his first full speedway campaign.
Moon was competitive in the opening four rounds of the NSW Club Championships late models class before securing victory in round five at Goulburn Speedway last month.
The 26-year-old, in his 2007 Warrior car, held off strong competition to win.
“The win has given me a world of confidence for the rest of the season,” he said.
Moon’s 2007 car is owned by his stepfather Col Robinson, also a former motorsport driver.
The Camden resident said Robinson had been a great supporter of his career and thanked him for all of his help.
“Having Col in my corner has played a huge part in what we’ve been able to achieve,” Moon said.
“He’s got so much knowledge around car set up in addition to his significant experience as a driver, which has been invaluable to me.”
