The Eschol Park Little Athletics Centre has received a timely boost thanks to Coles.

The Macarthur club has received a grant worth more than $2200 to buy new sports gear courtesy of the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund initiative.

Funds are raised through the sale of specially-marked Coles chiller bags.

For every bag sold, 25 cents is directed to the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund to provide sport equipment grants.

Coles state general manager Emma Bridges said the company was delighted to support little athletics centres such as Eschol Park.

“The Eschol Park Little Athletics Centre told us they would like to receive a grant to buy high jump equipment, shot puts and hurdles,” she said.

“We were delighted to help because we know these are an essential part of little athletics to support young budding athletes.”
