Get ready for some more fun in the sun – plans for Macarthur’s largest splash park have been approved.
The Camden local planning panel approved the $9 million project last month.
The water play space will be built on the Ron’s Creek riparian corridor alongside The Northern Road and Central Avenue Oran Park.
The new play space will include a range of both water-based and dry playground equipment including slides, spinners, swings, in-ground trampolines and more.
The water park is joint-funded with Camden Council and Oran Park developers Greenfields Development Company.
It will include equipment and elements for children of all ages including toddlers.
The site will also be home to a basketball half-court, barbecue facilities, picnic area and an amenities building.
This will be the second water park to be built in Camden.
Elderslie’s $2.4 million Curry Reserve splash park opened in December last year.
