Some of the state's best wheelchair rugby league players will be in town this weekend.

Minto Indoor Sports Stadium will host a NSW Wheelchair Rugby League double header on Sunday.

Round six action will see the Cronulla Sharks take on the Canberra Raiders at 3.30pm, followed by the Wests Tigers versus St George-Illawarra Dragons game at 4.45pm.

League representative and Currans Hill resident Brad Grove said he was proud to help bring the two matches to Macarthur.

"We are trying to branch out and are looking at places like Macarthur," he said.

"Macarthur has the largest participation rate for wheelchair rugby league in Australia.

"We hope to showcase what we're all about on Sunday."

The NSW Wheelchair Rugby League competition was formed in 2008.

Grove said the majority of matches were played in western Sydney or Menai.

"We've had maybe 50 or so Macarthur locals play in our competition, but they have been prepared to travel," he said.

"We would love to get more games in Macarthur.

"Anyone, with or without a disability, can play and it's not a hard game to learn."
