The Picton Magpies recorded their first win of the 2019 Group 6 season on Sunday afternoon.
The Magpies secured a 38-10 win over Moss Vale Dragons at Community Oval, but the scoreboard didn't truly reflect the first grade contest.
Moss Vale caused continual headaches for the Magpies and got the scoreline back to 22-10 with 25 minutes remaining, before Picton pulled away to victory.
Neither side could trouble the scorers in the opening stages of the match.
Picton fullback BJ Ruttley scored the first try after 19 minutes after the Magpies had struggled to break through the Moss Vale line.
Winger Matt Dengate scored a try eight minutes before half time.
Centre Blake Ritchie-Manns then dived over minutes later, giving the Magpies a 16-0 lead at the break.
Jayden Valenzisi scored Moss Vale's first try shortly after half time, but Picton replied almost immediately through Ritchie-Manns scoring his second try.
Moss Vale winger Jesse Mauger scored a long-range solo try 13 minutes into the second half, reducing the margin to 12 points.
The match settled into an-arm wrestle in the last quarter of play, with the Magpies trying to break open the game.
Picton then blew the scoreline out with three final tries to seal the match.
Michael Lett dived over to score before Ruttley and Dengate took their personal tallies to two tries each.
The other round two results saw The Oaks thump Campbelltown City by 44-12 at Fullwood Reserve, Thirlmere defeated Narellan by 40-22 at Crane Oval while Oakdale beat Mittagong by 36-12 at Sid Sharpe Oval.
