Melina Marchetta, author of seminal Australian teen novel Looking for Alibrandi, will visit Macarthur next week.
The celebrated wordsmith is stopping by Narellan Library to spruik her latest book The Place on Dalhousie.
Her appearance is part of the Sydney Writers' Festival, a week-long celebration of passionate and creative writers.
The Place on Dalhousie is described as a beautifully crafted story of families and relationships told with tenderness and humour.
It is the latest in a long list of successful tomes, including Saving Francesca, On the Jellicoe Road and 2016's Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil.
Marchetta will visit Narellan on Tuesday, April 30 from 11am.
The conversational appearance will be moderated by author and journalist Nadia Bailey.
Light refreshments will be provided before the event begins.
The talk is free but bookings are essential as places are limited.
