Two Campbelltown sporting grounds will be in for a big boost if Labor is elected this month.

Eschol Park Sporting Complex will receive $800,000 worth of upgrades while Minto's Sarah Redfern Oval will receive $140,000 to improve facilities.

"This funding will be used to deliver essential upgrades to our local grounds and will ensure that our local sporting clubs can continue to thrive into the future," Macarthur MP Dr Michael Freelander said.

"Our region is experiencing rapid population growth and it is essential that our wonderful local sporting clubs and fields are supported so that they can continue to cater to our community's needs."

The funding would allow the Eagle Vale-St Andrews Junior Rugby League Football Club to benefit from a covered outdoor area for spectators and upgrades to the clubhouse.

An amenities block, fencing and lighting would benefit the likes of Minto Soccer Club at Sarah Redfern Oval.
