Big hair? Check.

Big mouth? Check.

Big laughs? Double check.

The one and only Effie is headed to Camden Civic Centre soon to delight local audiences with her trademark brand of mispronounced hilarity.

The unique comic - real name Mary Coustas - will perform two shows in Camden on Saturday, May 11.

"OMG Camden, 'youse' just can't get enough," Effie said in a video on her Facebook page.

"We've had to put on a second show at the Camden Civic Centre. Book to see the funniest show in town - I can't wait to entertain youse.

"Love youse bad, legends."

Her new show - Effie in Love Me Tinder - is all about finding love in the modern age of social media and apps.

"Have youse heard - I've been snipping around on Tinder lately," she posted.

"Maybe youse have seen me?

"Youse might be surprised that this very good-looking married woman is only on it to see what's out there.

"Keeping my options out there, as they say. Having a perve."

The show promises to hold up a mirror to the complexities of finding love and keeping it - is it love at first sight or love at first swipe?

"Youse'll only be swiping right for this one," Effie said.

Effie first found fame as part of the comedy stage show Wogs Out of Work in 1987 alongside Nick Giannopoulos.

She then appeared on the popular Aussie sitcom Acropoolis Now from 1989-1992.

The television and stage appearances have continued throughout the years, on programs including Effie, Just Quietly and Greeks on the Roof.
