Do you like to enjoy a drink while belting out your favourite tunes?
Then this is the show for you.
Sydney-based cover band One Hit Wonders is heading to the Gregory Hills Hotel on Saturday, May 25.
From Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive through to Wheatus's Teenage Dirtbag, the band promises to entertain music lovers of all ages.
Drummer Leanne Moxon told the Advertiser that her band played classic tracks from the 1960s through to modern one hit wonders.
"It's a high energy show and the dance floor is always full at our gigs," she said.
"We pride ourselves on getting people up for a dance and to have a good time."
One Hit Wonders consist of Moxon, singers James Gibbons and Kim Salz, guitarist Matt Robinson and bass guitarist Will Haskovec.
Moxon said the band was founded in the early 1990s.
"We are not the original members though, there have been lots of line-up changes over the years," she said.
"We play at clubs and pubs right around Sydney, from the shire up to the Central Coast and out to Katoomba.
"We have quite a following. Familiar faces will come up and say hello at a gig."
Moxon said her favourite one hit wonder tracks to perform were A-ha's Take On Me and The Knack's My Sharona.
She said she was fascinated by the one hit wonder concept.
"Sometimes these tracks provide a rise to fame and then they [the band] sink into oblivion," Moxon said.
"A lot of people know the track, but they don't know who sang it."
One Hit Wonders will perform a free show at the Gregory Hills Hotel on May 25 at 9pm.
