Man sought after two dogs hurt in park near Silverdale

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after two dogs were seriously injured at a park near Silverdale yesterday.

Two couples were walking their dogs without leashes within Fowler Reserve about 1.50pm on Sunday.

The dogs walked down an embankment before returning to their owners with visible wounds to their bodies.

A man was confronted by the owners briefly, before they took the dogs to the veterinarian.

The dogs - a Kelpie/Bull Arab mix and Rhodesian Ridgeback - remain in a serious condition.

The man has been described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, stocky build, bald, with a ginger beard and wearing a flannelette shirt.
