Police investigate suspicious car fire in Claymore

Police have launched an investigation following a suspicious car fire in Claymore this morning.

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews were called to Duterreau Way about 4.45am on Wednesday, June 12 and arrived to find a vehicle on fire.

FRNSW members worked swiftly to contain the blaze before it could reach a nearby home.

A FRNSW spokesman said the car was severely damaged and police were called to the scene.

The spokesman said it was the determined the blaze was deliberately lit.

No-one was injured and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
