Police have charged a woman over a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred in Narellan last month.
An 81-year-old Narellan female pedestrian was crossing Camden Valley Way about 1.20pm on May 9 when she was allegedly struck by a BMW travelling east.
The driver, a 60-year-old Carnes Hill woman, stopped and helped the pedestrian, with assistance from bystanders.
The pedestrian was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, where she later died.
The driver was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. Police established a crime scene on Camden Valley Way, with assistance from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
The 60-year-old woman attended Liverpool Hospital about 3pm yesterday (Thursday, June 13) and spoke with investigators about the incident.
She was charged with dangerous driving, causing death and negligent driving, causing death.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown local court on July 8.
