Two Macarthur teens are ready to test their skills against some of the world's best young softballers.

Mia Gilmore and Madi Baker have been picked in the Australian Diamonds under-17s girls softball squad to tour the US.

The Aussies will depart in the coming days for the two-week trip.

The squad has been divided into two teams for the tour, with Mia and Madi both picked for the Australian Golds.

Highlights of the tour will include the Diamonds teams taking part in a championship in Minnesota.

Campbelltown's Mia, 16, is a pitcher for the Blue Jays Club in the Macarthur Softball Association.

Mia said she hoped to make an impression while representing her country.

"I'm pretty proud, it's always been a dream of mine to play for Australia," she said.

"I want to strike out as many people as I can and do my country proud."

Mia said she had played softball for 10 years.

"I love everything about the game, including the people and the sport in general too," the Leumeah High School student said.
