Campbelltown's biggest winter celebration returned with a bang on the weekend.
Thousands of people headed to Koshigaya Park for the annual Winterland village and ice skate spectacular on Saturday and Sunday.
The two ice skating rinks proved popular while other highlights included the gigantic ferris wheel and ice slide.
A Campbelltown Council spokesman said more than 3000 people attended the festival over the weekend.
Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic said last week that it was great to bring Winterland back for a second year.
"It showcases our city's ability to host drawcard, destination events, and provide people with experiences that are a bit different and to give them good memories to look back on," he said.
The 2019 festival will run until July 21 at Koshigaya Park. Entry is free.
