Effie brings love and laughs back to Camden

"I just love Camden and I am so happy to be coming back."

Mary Coustas, better known as her legendary alter ego Effie, is bringing her sell out tour back to Camden in November.

Effie's show Love Me Tinder first premiered in Camden back in May but it proved to be so popular that Coustas is bringing it back for another round.

"I have been out to Camden so often because I have a good friend who lives out there," she said.

"She said I should do a show out here because of how great the community is - so I premiered the show here and now I can't wait to come back.

"Camden is such a great place, the people are wonderful and the Civic Centre is such a great venue.

"My six-year-old daughter even asks me if we can move to Camden."

Effie spent most of her life as a single girl - but after reconnecting with the man of her dreams her life has certainly changed.

"Effie is married now - and no longer a virgin," Coustas said.

"This show is all about how that beast was awakened in Effie and how she can resist temptation in the Tinder landscape.

"The show is about love, marriage and fidelity.

"It's a very funny show and something everyone can relate to - as Effie says, 'I didn't say 'I do' to the dishes, the laundry and seeing the mother-in-law three times a week'."

The show will be held at the Camden Civic Centre on Saturday, November 30.

"Get a group of your favourite people together, come into town, have a meal, watch the show, laugh yourself silly for an hour and have plenty to talk about afterwards," Coustas said.

"It's a fantastic way to end the working week and fun night out."
