One of the most feel-good, toe-tapping, all-round enjoyable stage shows is coming back to Sydney.
Fringe festival favourite The Choir of Man is making a triumphant return to Australia following a sold-out four-week season earlier this year.
The show was a runaway hit at the 2017 and 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2018.
The Choir of Man features nine mates performing a set-list of hits from the likes of Adele, Avicii, Paul Simon, Queen, Guns N' Roses and more while enjoying a pint or two in a pub set called 'The Jungle'.
Among their number are world-class singers, dancers, instrumentalists and poets with 'flawless vocal harmonies', who put on a show with live percussion and foot-stomping choreography.
The set features a real working bar from which the performers pull pints and invited audience members to get up close and personal with the show, experiencing the action on stage.
The Choir of Man is returning to the Sydney Opera House from Wednesday, November 6 to Friday, December 1.
The Opera House's head of contemporary performance, Olivia Ansell, said the show was not to be missed.
"Sydneysiders were enthralled by this uplifting show about a bunch of mates who love to sing at their local pub," she said.
"With soaring vocal harmonies, electrifying choreography and a set list covering everything from Sia, Queen and Farnham, The Choir of Man has taken the world by storm.
"We're thrilled to return to this feel-good Edinburgh hit to Sydney Opera House in Spring."
The Choir of Man producer Nic Doodson said the cast couldn't be happier to return to the harbour city.
"The Choir of Man is absolutely thrilled to be returning to the iconic Sydney Opera House in November for another season of singing, dancing and drinking," he said.
"The Sydney audiences were some of the best we've ever had and we can't wait to share a pint again with all the great new friends we made and those that we haven't yet met.
"Following sold out tours in the USA, UK and Europe, the guys are really excited to get back to Sydney, which already feels like a second home."
