Teen charged with Macquarie Fields armed robbery

An 18-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery following an incident at Macquarie Fields yesterday.

Police were called to a service station on Harold Street, Macquarie Fields about 1pm on Sunday, October 20 following reports a man - allegedly armed with a pistol - entered the service station and threatened a female employee.

The man allegedly pointed the pistol at the woman and demanded cash. He then allegedly fled the scene with a small amount of cash.

Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command attended the service station and established a crime scene.

After an investigation, police arrested the an 18-year-old man at Coronata Way, Macquarie Fields and took him to Campbelltown Police Station.

The teen was charged with robbery whilst armed and possessing an unregistered pistol.

He was refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court today.
