"Burn the house down."
That was one woman's horrified reaction after footage of a "nice solid" red belly lurking inside a bathroom was shared on Facebook.
Fortunately, the owners didn't have to torch the place.
Instead, they called Glen from Illawarra Snake Catcher, who was able to nab the intruder and return it to the bush.
"Just a little red belly in the bathroom," Glen shared on his Facebook page.
"This one was just around the corner from the Little Blow Hole in Kiama.
"You tend to get the bigger ones in spring. They are a bit careless out looking for a mate - males with one thing on there mind."
Mating season isn't the only reason why snakes are on the move - in Kiama on the NSW South Coast, and everywhere else.
Another is the lack of water supply in reserves due to the drought and lack of rain.
If you see a snake on your property, call a snake catcher.
