Restrictions on South Australia's hospitality sector will remain for some time with the state's COVID-19 measures set at a "new type of normal", Premier Steven Marshall says.
Pubs and restaurants are allowed seated dining and drinking but have called for patrons to be allowed to stand.
However Mr Marshall says based on the latest health advice this is not a time to make more changes.
"We've got to make sure we protect ourselves here. We don't want to be doing anything that is risky, that will set us back," he said.
SA's transition committee will meet again on Tuesday but has recently scaled back to come together just once each week instead of twice.
Mr Marshall said that indicated that "we're probably at a level of restrictions that are likely to remain for some time".
However the premier welcomed Tasmania's decision to open its borders to South Australians and said easing restrictions on areas of regional Victoria remained a topic of discussion.
He said it was likely SA would wait until the Victorian goverment moved to significantly ease its own measures.
That would allow South Australia to gauge the impact of those changes and consider its next move.
SA reported three new virus cases on Monday, two men in their 30s and 40s and a woman in her 30s.
All recently returned separately to Australia from overseas and tested positive while in hotel quarantine.
They are not considered a risk to the wider community.
The new cases take the state's total since the start of the pandemic to 494.
There are 12 active infections in SA, all returned travellers in hotel isolation.
