The season of giving is upon us and Macarthur MP Dr Michael Freelander is call on locals to dig deep and donate to families in need this Christmas.
Dr Freelander is collecting gift donations at his Campbelltown office in business hours so local charity Life Beyond Barriers can distribute them to vulnerable families to enjoy during the festive season.
"Children deserve to have a merry Christmas and to celebrate the season of giving," he said.
"I am proud to partner with Edward Feuerstein and the wonderful volunteers at Life Beyond Barriers for my annual Christmas toy drive."
Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off to Dr Freelander's office at 37 Queen Street, Campbelltown.
After gifts have 'quarantined' for a period to ensure they are safe, they will be distributed throughout the Macarthur electorate to families doing it tough.
"This wonderful collaboration will ensure those experiencing the stresses of job losses, domestic violence and those in foster care feel connected and appreciated by our community," he said.
"Macarthur residents have a big heart and a generous mindset, and so I urge our community to rally behind those doing it tough and to please donate toys and gifts to our region's children and families struggling this time of year."
