Pillion passenger dies in hospital after Picton Road crash

A woman has died in hospital after a crash in Picton last month.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Picton Road and Wilton Park Road after a Ford Falcon XR6 and a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided on Sunday, February 28.

Camden Police Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) officers attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police say the rider, a 56-year-old man, and pillion passenger, a 47-year-old woman, suffered multiple injuries after being thrown from the bike.

They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Police say the woman died in hospital on Saturday, March 6.

The driver of the Ford Falcon, a 19-year-old man, was not injured.

Police say he was charged at the time and remains before the courts.

Officers say he was charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and not display P-plates.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
